Plenty of sliced meat: To WOMC's Dick Purtan, WMGC'S Jim Harper, WRIF's Drew & Mike, WJR's Paul W. Smith, WKQI's Mojo in the Morning, WNIC'S Breakfast Club, and WJLB's Coco, Foolish and Mr. Chase for bringing home the bacon -- advertising -- on all their stations ... Holly berries: To channels 2, 4 and 7 for doing their parts to cover festive season events like the Thanksgiving Day parade, last week's Campus Martius tree lighting, the upcoming Rochester Santa Parade and the recent Royal Oak Holiday Magic parade... Terry Gross may not be as famous as Larry King, unless you're a regular listener to National Public Radio) - then she's a household name. Gross is renown as a first-rate radio journalist who seems to draw long reflective answers out of her subjects with her polite yet probing interview style. Gross held a talk at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor on Sept. 28 where she discussed her history as a radio host with recent and older clips of her many interviews... An evening with an NPR radio host (Thu, 11/22)
