Lansing State Journal:

Local TV will move closer to its digital destiny on Sunday. That's when WKAR splits into four digital channels, over the air and on some cable set-ups. In addition to high-quality pictures, that means more of just about everything. The new digital schedule starts Sunday, with other changes expected in the months ahead... WKAR goes digital four ways on Sunday (Sat, 11/3)



Flint Journal:

State Rep. Brenda Clack, D-Flint, is joining Flint Board of Education members in expressing outrage that city students were ridiculed through a "Practical Math" test discussed on Saginaw-based WHNN-FM (96.1) and posted on its Web site. In a Friday news release, Clack, a former Flint schools teacher, condemned the station for its "inflammatory activity"... Clack condemns radio station over mock test (Sat, 11/3)

Johnny Burke is back on the air, returning Monday with his sidekick, Blondie, to host the morning show at WHNN-FM, 96.1. And, he added, they were not suspended Thursday, but taken out of the studio while they formulated their response to criticism of a bogus ''practical math'' test posted on the station's Web site in September... Morning show host Burke back on the air Monday (Sat, 11/3)
