Sales and Transactions: Week of Nov 2, 2007

• Hot adult contemporary WQBX FM 104.9 Alma has been granted a construction permit to change its frequency to 104.7, change its community of license to Fowler, and move its broadcast location from Gratiot county to Clinton county in between DeWitt and St. Johns. The changes, once complete, will essentially allow the station to become a rim-shot move-in to the Lansing market.

• Jazz/blues WLNZ FM 89.7 Lansing has been granted a construction permit to increase its effective radiated power from 420 watts @ 98 feet non-directional to 1,200 watts @ 95 feet directional. If constructed, listeners just to the south and west of Lansing would benefit most from the change.

• Christian WUFL AM 1030 Sterling Heights was granted its license to cover for changes to its directional pattern (change from 2-tower to 3-tower array).

• The construction permit for WKPK FM Michigamme was modified to specify 88.3 instead of 88.1 and effective radiated power changed from 100,000 watts (vertical) @ 410 feet (Class C1) to 15,000 watts @ 866 feet (Class C2). The coordinates for the station shifted from Baraga County to Marquette County using the same broadcast tower used by a number of other Marquette broadcast stations. WKPK is owned by the contemporary Christian 'Smile FM' group.
