Northern Radio now streaming all of its stations

With this week's addition of Classic Hits 'The Fox FM' WFCX-FM 94.3 Traverse City / WFDX-FM 92.5 Atlanta, all of Northern Radio of Michigan's radio stations are now streaming their programing over the Internet. In December, Soft Rock WSRT-FM 106.7 Gaylord / WSRJ-FM 100.7 Traverse City and Rock WKLT-FM 97.5 Kalkaska / WKLZ-FM 98.9 Petoskey also added streaming to their web sites.

Also, The Fox FM plans on moving its Boyne City licensed translator from FM 95.5 to FM 95.3 on January 12th and is throwing a "lean left" party to celebrate in Petoskey on that day. Details at the station's web site,


Traverse City Record-Eagle

Cable subscribers have paid for equipment to televise local government meetings for the past 18 months, but other than Traverse City, only one township put that money to use. Cable subscribers each pay 30 cents a month for equipment that can be installed in township halls to televise meetings, a fee that generates about $80,000 a year. Additionally, tctv2, the local public access channel, offered to make personnel available to tape township meetings... Funding for public station at risk (Mon 1/8)
