WEXL hires Frank Turner for mid-mornings

WEXL AM 1340 will add veteran TV anchor and investigative reporter Frank Turner to their lineup beginning February 4th. Turner, touted as America's first Evangelical Anchorman, brings his testimony and enthusiasm to the airwaves to minister to the Metro Detroit community on Crawford-owned WEXL where his show will air weekdays from 9:30 am - noon.

The Frank Turner Show will focus on bringing Kingdom living principles to everyday life situations through interaction with callers and their issues. "I’m not a counselor; I’m a coach,” Turner states. “A counselor will tell you what they think, but a coach will show you how to run the plays that are in the book – my play book is the Bible.”

Prior to exploring his career as an evangelist, Turner was an anchor for Detroit ABC affliliate WXYZ-TV Channel 7.
