There has been a sudden shift in news anchors at WLAJ, Channel 53. Arriving is Bill Younkin, a newsman from WOIO in Cleveland, who had his first shift Monday. And gone is Suzanne Wangler, facing accusations of taking a financial services client's money. She had her last local newscast - using the on-air name Suzanne Page - on Thursday. "She resigned for personal reasons," said Jim Lutton, the new WLAJ general manager. That resignation came as Detroit TV station WXYZ, Channel 7, aired a news report ... Lutton - who took over as WLAJ's general manager after the Feb. 6 resignation of Jim Wareham - said the accusations don't involve her time at WLAJ... Michigan Gov. Jennifer M. Granholm is interviewed during a special 90-minute edition of Channel 19, WDCQ's, ''Currently Speaking'' series, starting at 8 tonight. Host Andy Rapp interviews the governor along with Saginaw Valley State University political science educator and attorney Jim Johnson. Among the issues addressed are education, employment, alternative energy and the presidential race. The remainder of the program includes live interaction with panelists and viewers' calls.
