• Baraga Broadcasting agreed to acquire FM translator W221CA 92.1 Gaylord from Radio Assist Ministry for $6,800 pending FCC approval and closing. Baraga, owner of Religious WTCK FM 90.9 Charlevoix, plans to rebroadcast that station on the translator.
• WOOD-FM 105.7 Grand Rapids was granted its license to cover for its move to its new facilities. The station resumed broadcasting at 265,000 watts late last year after a long period of operating at reduced power.
• WCXT FM 98.3 was granted its license to cover for a change community of license from South Haven to Hartford, a move of its tower southwest, and an increase of effective radiated power from 1,900 watts @ 404 feet to 3,700 watts @ 427 feet.
• The owner of WMXG FM 106.3 Stephenson agreed to make a voluntary contribution of $5,000 to the US Treasury and the FCC dismissed a proposed $10,000 fine for alleged tower lighting violations. Read the FCC Consent Decree.
