Detroit News:

Reality and game shows aren't the only television offerings to benefit from the recent 100-day Writers Guild of America strike. PBS stations all over the country also watched their ratings spike. Locally, WTVS-TV (Channel 56), Detroit Public Television, had a 2 percent ratings increase in February, compared to the same time just a year ago. The station's primetime audience numbers climbed 10 percent. Some 1.5 million Metro Detroiters currently watch WTVS weekly... Public TV enjoys hike in viewership (Wed, 4/9)

106.7 The Fox morning show to giveaway Red Wings tickets

Country WDTW-FM 106.7 The Fox and “The Chad Show”, with Chad and CJ, are inviting listeners out to the Clear Channel building at 27675 Halsted Rd. in Farmington Hills on Thursday April 10th starting at 7 a.m. for a chance to win Detroit Red Wings playoff tickets. These are some of the hottest tickets in town and with the playoffs starting on Thursday so expect some unusual contests -- the Chad Show once made a mother shave part of her head for Hannah Montana tickets. This round of giveaways is expected to involve your memory and a lawn mower.
