Flint Journal:

He can create a new character with a turn of a phrase but when he picked up the phone there was no fooling. The voice was the legendary Casey Kasem from his home in Los Angeles. Kasem had two radio countdown shows to tape Wednesday, but was eager to talk about the upcoming Casey Kasem Day in Fenton on April 26. It's a fundraiser for the proposed $3.5 million cultural center to be added on the Fenton Community Center. Kasem was invited first by his cousin Dave Ameen of Fenton and then through a letter signed by supporters of the center. "It's something that will serve all people," Kasem said. He grew up in Detroit but has strong family ties to Fenton and relatives still live there... Casey Kasem's famous voice is more familiar than you know (Mon, 4/7)
