Like most die-hard Detroit Tigers fans, local WLAV-FM morning man Kevin Matthews is beside himself at the team's 0-6 start to the 2008 season, a season filled with so much promise. So, he cooked up a good-old fashion radio stunt. Matthews is remaining on the air until the Detroit Tigers win their first game. "I could be in a lot of trouble," said Matthews shortly after his regular, 5:30-10 a.m. shift this morning. "They plenty 20 straight games against some good teams, like Boston, Chicago, Minnesota, Cleveland and Toronto. "It could get ugly"... Kevin Matthews to remain on air until the Detroit Tigers win (Tue, 4/8)


Local morning radio personality Nanette was not on the air today at station WLHT-FM (95.7), fueling speculation the Detroit native may be on the outs. WLHT program director Bill Bailey confirmed this morning that "she has resigned." "She feels it's time to move on," said Bailey, who said Nanette turned in her resignation Monday night. Nanette could not be reached for comment... Morning host Nanette resigns from WLHT-FM (Tue, 4/8)
