The Saginaw Spirit will have a new slot on the radio dial in mid-Michigan next season. The Ontario Hockey League franchise, which begins its seventh season in September, announced today a three-year deal that makes WTKQ-FM 100.5 its flagship radio home. WMJO-FM 97.3 served as the Spirit's radio partner for six years. "We thank (WMJO-FM 97.3) for an outstanding partnership during the past six years," said Craig Goslin, the Spirit's president and managing partner. "NextMedia and 100.5 FM is a great fit for live broadcasts of the Spirit games because of their multiple stations ... which cover five separate demographics. "The ability to get to 'all demographics,' the overall quality of the people that make up the staff at NextMedia in Saginaw and the strength of their signal to reach the entire region and beyond, are all real plusses for us." Terry Ficorelli remains the team's play-by-play broadcaster while former Saginaw hockey great Dennis Desrosiers serves as an analyst...
