Grand Rapids Press:

It has been more than a month since Nanette left the airwaves at WLHT-FM (95.7). She resigned due to creative differences surrounding the morning show but is not leaving the area. "My son, Nick, and I fell in love with Grand Rapids. He has really flourished in this community. For me to uproot him again, I simply will not do," she said of her 11-year-old. "We have moved eight times in the last 11 years for my career. Nick belongs here." Nanette proves there is life after radio as she looks forward to starting a business and partnering with her dad, Dennis Lanfear. The father-daughter team are starting a cosmetic teeth whitening service called "WOW Smile." They will open their first store June 15 at Rivertown Crossings in Grandville. Nanette said the procedure involves LED lighting and a 44 percent grade of peroxide to brighten teeth. The 20-minute service will cost $100. After the launch at Rivertown Crossings, Nanette and her father will open stores in Woodland Mall in Grand Rapids and locations in Lansing and Traverse City. For now, radio is on the back burner; Nanette's non-compete contract lasts until October... Ex-radio host Nanette gets into teeth whitening biz (Sun, 5/25)
