WYCD Sets Pet Adoption Record At 'Pet-A-Palooza': CBS RADIO Country WYCD/DETROIT set a record this past weekend (6/28-6/29) for pet adoptions at this year's PET-A-PALOOZA. Over 500 pets were adopted in conjunction with more than 30 local animal rescue shelters at the event, which was hosted by WYCD night personality JYL FORSYTH and held at FREEDOM HILL in DETROIT. RCA/NASHVILLE artist SARA EVANS was on hand to perform for the crowd. WYCD PD TIM ROBERTS said: "WYCD was ecstatic about the success of this year's event, and we want to thank all the great volunteers and animal supporters in the area who joined our efforts to save so many dogs and cats. It truly was a great experience to see so many children and families bring a lovable pet into their lives." (Mon, 6/30)
