Rob Parker finds new radio home - in New York City
Rob Parker, current Detroit News columnist who just exited WCHB AM 1200 as evening sports co-host, is reportedly set to join New York City ESPN Radio flagship WEPN AM 1050 to co-host evenings with Brandon Tierney starting Monday, June 23rd. Both Parker and Tierney are former hosts with sports WDFN AM 1130 in Detroit, but at different times, and both are native New Yorkers.
WEPN program director Aaron Spielbert commented that, "I'm excited that Rob is getting a chance to come home and that we're adding another native New Yorker to our lineup."
Tierney will host solo from 7:30 - 9pm with Parker joining from 9 - 11pm.
No word yet on if Parker will stay on with the Detroit News or if the NYC program will be titled "Parker and the BT Express".
