Lansing State Journal:

For Adela Uchida, the trade-off is clear. "I'm trading brutal winters for brutal summers," she said. At least her timing is right. Her last day anchoring the WILX (Channel 10) news is Sept. 5; her first day at KRTK-TV - the ABC-owned station in Houston - is Sept. 22, maybe after the summer heat has relented a bit. For Uchida, 36, this is a huge jump in audience size: Houston is the No. 10 TV market, Lansing is No. 112. But it involves leaving what's been her home for a decade. "I start tearing up when I think about it," she said. This is where she met her husband, had her baby, bought her house. It's where she interviewed Barack Obama and prepared to run a marathon... Uchida's move a trade-off in seasons (Mon, 8/18)
