Muskegon Chronicle:

She's reported on a world famous golf tournament, interviewed Tiger Woods and watched her share of University of Georgia football games. But after spending three years as a broadcast sports reporter in Augusta, Ga., Tara Miller is back in West Michigan, where she was scheduled to make her debut Friday night as Fox 17's weekend sports reporter. "It's a career jump for me, but it's also my home so it's kind of like the best of both worlds," said Miller, who graduated from Fruitport High School in 1999. "Now I get the chance to cover the teams I grew up watching." At FOX 17, Miller will work as both an anchor and reporter, covering local, state and national sports. Miller will join Brent Ashcroft, the station's Sports Director, as the second Muskegon-area native working on FOX 17's sports team. Ashcroft, a Mona Shores graduate, became Sports Director there in 1998... Fruitport native now anchoring sports at Fox 17 (Sat, 8/16)

Getting kids off the couch and doing exercises is the goal of a new locally produced television program that will feature local children. "Fit Kids" will air four times a week during the school year on the city of Muskegon's government and community access channel DSE/tv97. If auditions for the programs' four troupes of children who will appear on the show is any indication, interest in such a show is high... Children audition for new TV show (Mon, 8/18)
