Grand Rapids Press:

Jack Doles figures the 13 1/2-hour flight he's taking today to Beijing shouldn't be too bad. Hopefully he doesn't get stuck with a middle seat. Doles, the sports director at WOOD-TV 8, will be joined by colleagues Brian Sterling and Dan Limbaugh for the station's coverage of the Summer Olympics. WOOD's coverage will kick off with a one-hour special, "Olympic Hopes, Gold Dreams," at 7 p.m. Aug. 8. It will be Doles' seventh trip to the Olympics. Before joining WOOD in 1990, he covered the Winter Games in Calgary and Summer Olympics in Seoul in 1988. Since then, he's been to Summer Olympics in Atlanta ('96), Sydney ('00) and Athens ('04), and Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy ('06)... WOOD-TV's Doles on his way to Beijing Games (Fri, 8/1)
