WDSS drops Radio Disney

Grand Rapids is without an over-the-air Radio Disney format as of now as Goodrich Radio drops the kid-targeted format on its WDSS AM 1680 Ada/Grand Rapids. Announcements on the frequency invite listeners to check out Radio Disney on XM or Sirius Satellite Radio and state the station's new programming will be revealed on August 18th.




Country WBCT was the most listened to radio station this spring in Grand Rapids among listeners age 12 and above according to Arbitron. Classic rock WLAV, news/talk WOOD AM, modern rock WGRD, and contemporary hits WSNX rounded out the top 5... Grand Rapids 12+ spring radio ratings (Wed, 8/6)

In Kalamazoo, the top 12+ station was contemporary hits WKFR followed by rock WRKR, soft rock WVFM, country WBCT and adult urban WNWN AM... Kalamazoo 12+ spring radio ratings (Thu, 8/7)

Muskegon's leading station was country WMUS with contemporary hits WSNX, soft rock WSHZ, classic rock WMRR, and oldies WLCS completing the top 5 in the 12+ category... Muskegon 12+ spring radio ratings (Thu, 8/7)




WLHT & WTRV PD Bill Bailey Exits: After 11 years in GRAND RAPIDS, REGENT AC WLHT and Soft AC WTRV PD and WLHT/afternoon personality BILL BAILEY is on the hunt for his next opportunity. Sister Rocker WGRD and Regional Mexican WNWZ-A (1410 LA MAQUINA) PD JERRY TERRANTS will add programming duties at WLHT, and Oldies WFGR PD LEN O'KELLY will add PD responsibilites at WTRV.
