Channel 7 set for Michigan State/Michigan football Saturday

WXYZ-TV is the exclusive Detroit area television broadcast home for the season's biggest weekend of Big Ten football action. On Saturday, November 22nd, Channel 7 will telecast coverage of both the University of Michigan Wolverines and the Michigan State Spartans. The back to back game coverage begins at noon when the Michigan takes on the Ohio State Buckeyes live from Columbus, Ohio. The gridiron battles continue at 3:30pm when Michigan State travels to Happy Valley to battle the Penn State Nittany Lions.

In preparation for these legendary Big Ten rivalries, Channel 7 will broadcast a special one hour edition of the Big 10 Ticket pre-game show beginning Saturday at 11:00 AM. WXYZ-TV Sports Director Don Shane will host along with sports reporters Vic Faust and Tom Leyden as they bring you key interviews and an in-depth analysis of all the X's and O's that translate to victory for both Michigan and MSU.

"If both Michigan teams win, it would mean the Spartans will head to the Rose Bowl for the first time in twenty years," declares Channel 7 Sports Director Don Shane, "It would really bring some much needed excitement to our state."

Following the MSU game the station will air live post-game coverage of game-day highlights and key play analysis.
