• Great Lakes Radio received a construction permit to move classic rock WRUP FM 98.3 Munising into the Marquette market, essentially exiting Munising. The station would change its community of license to Palmer, move its broadcast location from Alger county into Marquette county where it would operate with 2,600 watts @ 1018 feet. The station's current facilities near Munising transmit with 32,000 watts @ 358 feet and only provides a marginal signal into Marquette.

• The post-transition DTV construction permit for WBSF-DT Ch. 46 Bay City/Saginaw was modified to increase effective radiated power from 18,000 to 70,000 watts. Once the facility is turned on in February, 2009 the increased power should help the station better cover its market area. WBSF does not have a companion digital channel, instead the station will flash-cut on or near February 17th when it turns off its analog transmitter and begins digital operations.

• The Battle Creek translator of soft rock/Christian WSAE FM at 92.3 (W222BB) was granted its license to cover for changes. The station changed its broadcast location and its effective radiated power from 120 watts to 80 watts @ 118 feet.

• LPFM station WGLN-LP 93.5 Cedar Lake was granted its license to cover for a change to its effective radiated power to 64 watts @ 123 feet from 94 watts @ 100 feet.
