Local and guest jazz musicians will help raise money to operate northern Michigan's jazziest radio station. The Jeff Haas Little Big Band will perform a concert on Saturday, Nov. 29, with special guests vocalist Betty Joplin and guitarist Ron Getz. "It will be a celebratory vibe," said pianist Haas, who hosts a weekly show on college radio station WNMC, during which he spins jazz, folk, blues and other genres. "We're celebrating almost 30 years of WNMC being on the air," added Haas, who is one of about 70 volunteers who help run the community station...
