• The FCC approved the sale of WSCG-FM Lakeview and WSCG AM Greenviile from Stafford Communications to Packer Radio. Sale price for the combo was $195,000.
• In August 2008, FM translator W238AL 95.5 Portage switched from a relay of country WNWN-FM 98.5 to a relay of sister station adult urban WNWN AM 1560 with special temporary authority from the FCC. The stations are owned by Midwest Communications.
• In September 2008, country WTWS FM 92.1 reportedly began operations from its new facilities in Roscommon county near Houghton Lake. The station had previously operated from near Harrison in Clare county and in October applied for its license to cover for the technical changes along with the change to its community of license from Harrison to Houghton Lake. Co-owned Coltrace Communications classic hits WUPS FM 98.5 is simultaneously changing its community of license from Houghton Lake to Harrison but not making changes to its broadcast facilities.
