“GLBC is a can’t miss event this year due to the major changes taking place in both radio and television,” said MAB President and CEO Karole White. “The transition to digital television and changes in the radio landscape require that broadcasters continually update themselves on the latest industry developments.”
GLBC 2008, entitled Michigan Broadcasting: A Sure Bet, has been redesigned with new elements that have been requested by broadcasters, including; an interactive exhibit hall which will feature 90 exhibitors with the latest industry technology and programs, and seminars with nationally renowned speakers. The Future of Michigan’s Economy: A Dialog with Michigan Industry Sector Giants (March 11, 8:30 a.m.): Celebrating Michigan has never been more important than it is now. Join high-profile Michigan-based business leaders from commerce, tourism, banking, technology and economic development as we explore why Michigan is a logical destination for business and citizens alike. Speakers include: Tim Skubick, Capital Correspondent (moderator); Larry Patrick, Managing Partner of Patrick Communications; Jim Herbert, Chairman and CEO of Neogen Corporation; Mitch Stapley, Director of Fixed Income Strategy at Fifth Third Bank; James Epolito, President and CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation; John Brown, Vice President of Government Relations at Jackson National Life Insurance Co. and Matt Van Vranken, President of Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids.
