Grand Rapids Press:

If you're a country music fan, you'll be watching! With entertainers such as Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Toby Keith scheduled to perform, tonight's Academy of Country Music awards show (8 p.m., CBS) offers another chance to see all of your favorite stars. And there's another reason to tune in, especially if you're a fan of "The Electric Barnyard." Local radio personality Broadway, of WBCT-FM's popular nighttime radio show on B-93, was nominated for an industry award as on-air personality of the year for medium markets. "To be considered one of the top five (people) in the medium markets in the country, that's quite an honor -- to be recognized at that level," said Broadway, whose show airs weekdays on B-93 from 7 p.m. to midnight with his intern sidekick, Crawl. A native of Marne, Broadway (whose real name is Bill Bertshinger) is starting his fourth year with B-93 and has been working in radio full time since he graduated from high school. Now 27, Broadway says being nominated for the ACMs is a validation of his career... B-93 radio DJ Broadway gets Academy of Country Music nomination for on-air personality of the year (Sun. 4/5)
