A former WNEM TV-5 reporter is suing the station for gender discrimination. Kim Russell claims she was let go in February after she complained to management about unsafe conditions, said her attorney, Tom Pabst. When the station opened a Flint bureau downtown, Russell was concerned about having to walk alone through town at night, Pabst said. "After that they came down on her," Pabst said. "I don't think they cared a lot about women there and that's why they fired her." TV-5 News Director Ian Rubin declined comment on the suit...
