The Michigan Farm Radio Network (MFRN), The Voice of Michigan's Farm Families has added Annette Weston, former news director of WSJM-AM Radio in St. Joseph / Benton Harbor, as an agri-news reporter. Weston is an award-winning broadcast journalist with vast radio news experience. Annette brings several years of news coverage and broadcast journalism in Michigan, continuing the MFRN tradition of gathering and delivering vital information from the Michigan ag industry leaders and policy makers affecting the producers in the state.

She will work with Rob Buttery, who moves into an editorial role as MFRN's agri-news editor. This team will offer its audience as well as the newsmakers a network with a great deal of radio experience.

Located in view of the Capitol in Lansing, the Michigan Farm Radio Network delivers programming to radio station affiliates targeted to a pure Michigan farm audience. Still committed to Michigan farming, it continues to serve as the only state-based radio network delivering 16 programs each day to over 20 affiliates.

The hiring of Weston was announced by Dennis Mellott, president and general manager of the Michigan Farm Radio Network.
