Detroit Lions punch their Ticket for 3 more years

The NFL's Detroit Lions have extended their play-by-play contract with CBS Radio's WXYT-FM 97.1 for three more years, taking the agreement through the 2012 season. The previous agreement was set to expire at the end of the current season and the extension puts to rest rumors that the team might be landing with a new flagship station.

I don't think WXYT should've renewed their contract with the Lions. In fact, I don't think that Lions should be on the radio if they're gonna keep losing. If I was head of a radio station...I'd terminate the contract a lot earlier. They've only won one of the last 21 games. They should've been off of the radio after the 2008 season when they were 0-16.
