Grand Rapids Press:

Take a peek at Shelley Irwin's weekly planner and you'll find she's carved out time to judge a contest, emcee a luncheon, run a half-marathon, attend a charity picnic, sit on a variety of boards of directors, participate in a bike ride and perform on a local stage. Oh, and she has a full-time job, too. The strawberry-blond dynamo is host of the morning show on WGVU-FM (88.5), the National Public Radio affiliate at Grand Valley State University. She jam-packs her mornings, afternoons and evenings with interviews, civic functions and nonprofit work, tackling everything she does with gusto. Irwin is involved with local libraries and civic groups, the Salvation Army, the Epilepsy Foundation and Girl Scouts. She has moderated events for the World Affairs Council, Leadership Grand Rapids, the Center for Women in Transition and many others... Profile: Morning radio show host Shelley Irwin (Sun, 11/29)
