• Adult Christian WCFG FM 90.9 was granted its license to cover. Owned by Cornerstone University, the new sign on rebroadcasts sister station WCSG FM 91.3 Grand Rapids.

 

• No notable activity for November 27 and 30, December 1 - 4.

 

 

• FM translator W267BD 101.3 Mt. Pleasant has been granted a construction permit to move to FM 101.1 as W266BU. The translator will be used to rebroadcast WMHW-FM 91.5 Mt. Pleasant; it'll increase power to 120 watts @ 456 feet with a directional antenna co-located with WMHW-FM.

 

• FM translator W279AP 103.7 Ionia has been granted a construction permit to move to FM 92.7 as W224BZ. The translator will be used to rebroadcast WION AM 1430 Ionia; it'll increase power to 212 watts @ 200 feet with a directional antenna co-located with WION.

 

• Horizon Christian Fellowship is selling FM translators W219DG 91.7 South Haven, W225BA 92.9 Hastings, and W243BH 96.5 Muskegon to World Radio Link. Sale prices and stations to be rebroadcast (according to documents filed with the FCC): W219DG- $11,500 WGNB-FM; W225BA- $10,000 WEMU-FM; W243BH- $10,000 WMBC-LP. World Radio Link is run by Clark Parrish who is/was also involved with Edgewater Broadcasting and Radio Assist Ministry, two other groups that have assembed large numbers of FM translators across the country.

 

• Roy E. Henderson (d.b.a. New Ulm Broadcasting Co.) has been granted a construction permit for a new low power digital TV station to be licensed to Traverse City on Channel 4. W04DJ-D would operate with 300 watts @ 551 feet from the same broadcast tower used by WLDR-FM 101.9.

 

• Partnership Ministries (d.b.a. Passion Communications) has closed on its acquistion of Christian contemporary WPRJ-FM 101.7 Coleman and FM translator W244BS 96.7 Alma.

 

• No notable activity for December 9 - 10.

 

• Up North Radio, LLC was granted a construction permit for a new FM station at 107.9 to be licensed to McBain. The Class A station would operate with 2,050 watts @ 568 feet from a transmitter location east of Cadillac in Missaukee county.

 

• No notable activity for December 14.

 

• FM translator W214BH 90.7 Mt. Pleasant was its license to cover for a frequency change to FM 101.3 as W267BD and power reduction from 100 to 1 watt.

 

• University of Michigan student operated WCBN FM 88.3 Ann Arbor has been granted a construction permit granted to increase power from 200 watts @ 177 feet to 3,000 watts @ 167 feet and change to a directional pattern. The most signal improvement will be in areas around Dexter, Saline, and Ypsilanti.

 

• FM translator W226BJ 93.1 Ionia granted license to cover (moved from 103.7 W279AP).

 

• The sale of FM translator W286AU 105.1 Allegan from Horizon Christian Fellowship to World Radio Link was approved by the FCC. Sale price was $9,500.

 

• TV translator W26BX-D Ch. 26 Kalamazoo (WTLJ Muskegon) was granted its license to cover for its digital flash cut.

 

• No notable activity for December 18.

 

• ChristianRadioBroadcasting.org was granted a construction permit for a new FM station on 91.3 to be licensed to Manistique. Operating from west of Manistique, the Class C2 station would operate with 15,000 watts @ 713 feet with a directional antenna.

 

• The sale of FM translator W284BQ 104.7 Warren from Radio Assist Ministry to Radio Power, Inc was approved by the FCC. Sale price was $40,000.

 

• The sale of the construction permit for FM station WRAX-FM 98.9 Walhalla/Ludington from Radioactive, LLC to Beaubark Communications, LLC will not be completed.

 

• No notable activity for December 23-24 and 28.
