• Birach Broadcasting of Southfield, MI has received two $15,000 Notices of Apparent Liability from the FCC for violations concerning staffing levels at two west Michigan AM stations, WMFN AM 640 Zeeland and WMJH AM 810 Rockford. Inspections in 2005 resulted in FCC findings that the stations were engaging in an unauthorized transfers of control that occurred in the context of time brokerage agreements and further found that Birach apparently failed to staff the main studios of the stations with the required managerial and staff level employees of its own while the stations were being operated by a time broker.
