Grand Rapids Press:

Gregg "Free Beer" Daniels remembers suggesting to a radio syndication representative that the "Free Beer and Hot Wings" radio crew would love the opportunity to be guest hosts for the popular "Dan Patrick Show." "But I didn't think it was possible," Daniels said. "Then after they told me this, I was like, 'Seriously, have you heard us?' " Daniels co-hosts the "Free Beer and Hot Wings" show locally 5 to 10 a.m. weekdays on WGRD-FM (97.9) with Chris "Hot Wings" Michaels and Eric Zane. The trio will fill in for the vacationing Patrick, a former ESPN personality, on his national show 9 a.m. to noon Friday. They first will do their show 5 to 8:30 a.m. live on WGRD and the 20 other stations around the country in their syndication group, and then go live from Grand Rapids at 9 a.m. with the Patrick show to all of its syndicated stations. Among those stations locally is WBBL-FM (107.3). WGRD will air a best-of segment 8:30 to 10 a.m. Daniels said their local show is syndicated through Compass Media Networks, which has a relationship with the people who produce and syndicate Patrick's show... WGRD's 'Free Beer and Hot Wings' crew will fill in as host of Dan Patrick's sports show (Thu, 4/29)
