Whether or not country music is your thing, it's pretty easy to appreciate the two-fold nature of a B-93 Birthday Bash lineup. On one hand, each day of the free two-day music showcase features big-name headlining acts where what these musicians/entertainers confide to their adoring radio audience is sometimes more interesting than the performances themselves. Such was the case Saturday with the vocal and comedic Blake Shelton, who is ready to pick an honest, logical verbal fight with anything (i.e. PETA) or anybody (guys who wear their pants below their (butts)) that defies good ol' country logic... No rain. No shirts. No problems at Day 2 of WBCT-FM's B-93 Birthday Bash. Bright sunny skies opened the 18th-annual event at US 131 Motorsports Park, and Antonia Fruytier and Mike Chapman came prepared this time. "We learned valuable lessons yesterday," said Chapman, 21, of Plainwell. Chapman and 20-year-old Fruytier of Harbor Beach came with a makeshift fort -- a white sheet clamped at all four corners to their lawn chairs. "SPF 15 is not enough, and a tent is a must," Chapman added, grinning. An smaller early morning crowd arrived for Sunday's lineup, which included local Kalamazoo act Dew South, siblings The Band Perry, three-part harmonizers Love & Left, funky crooner Justin Moore, sassy and laid-back singer Jake Owen and former Hootie & the Blowfish singer Darius Rucker...
