Fresh from his star cameo on the ABC crime drama "Detroit 1-8-7" a week ago (playing the leader of a polka band), "Big Al" Muskovitz, formerly of the Dick Purtan morning show, will serve as the evening's entertainment at The Information Center's 35th anniversary fundraising gala at 6:15 p.m. Thursday at the Crystal Gardens Banquet Center, 16703 Fort, in Southgate. The Information Center provides assistance to unemployed workers, caregivers, the disabled and seniors. WXYZ-TV anchor JoAnne Purtan will emcee the evening... Rachael Hunter of WYCD-FM (99.5) is one of 10 radio personalities chosen as finalists in country star Reba McEntire's All the Women I Am contest. The winner gets to help celebrate the launch of McEntire's new album, "All the Women I Am," at an Oct. 27 party in Nashville. Harrell promoted at WDVD/WDRQ

Ron Harrell, already program director of pop WDVD-FM 96.3 and variety hits WDRQ-FM 93.1, has been promoted by Citadel to add the role of station manager for both. Harrell has been with WDVD since December 2004 and added the programming responsibilities for WDRQ a year later.
