Eating is a luxury WOOD-TV sports director Jack Doles doesn't always get to enjoy. Especially on Friday nights during the high school football season. There simply isn't enough time as Doles and his staff race around West Michigan collecting highlights for their weekly football show, just like the sports staffs at WWMT, WXMI and WZZM. For one night, Doles allowed The Press to shadow him in WOOD's weekly race against the clock, a journey that took him from Grand Rapids to Zeeland to Holland and back to Grand Rapids -- with no wasted motion in between. Doles' dinner consisted of a single chocolate chip cookie and a Coke, but at no point did his energy abate. In fact, it sometimes can be a chore just to keep up...
