Christmas music continues to expand across Michigan, with at least three more stations flipping to all-holiday tunes this past week.
In Lansing WLMI FM 92.9 has switched off the smooth jazz, perhaps permanently. The station swapped its call sign to WLMI after ID'ing for a number of years as WJZL. On the Lake Michigan shoreline, soft rock WSHZ FM 107.9 is also jingling all the way. And in the Tri-Cities, classic hits WHNN FM 96.1 is playing 'all Christmas classics' again this year.
Look for Detroit soft rocker WMGC FM 105.1 to switch to the seasonal format on November 26th, the day after Thanksgiving.
Update: Oldies WNBY FM 93.9 Newberry / Sault Ste. Marie also has switched to all-Christmas as of this morning.
