Midwest Communications is changing up the sound on two of its recently acquired Lansing market radio stations. The Christmas music ended earlier this morning on WLMI FM 92.9 and in its place is Classic Hits 'Lansing's Greatest Hits' as that format has moved from its former home on WQTX FM 92.1. WQTX is now stunting towards a new format of its own.
Prior to switch to all-Christmas in November, WLMI (then known as WJZL) had a Smooth Jazz format.
Midwest Communications acquired WQTX and WLMI along with rock WJXQ and modern rock WVIC earlier in 2010 from Rubber City Radio.
