• Midwest Communications closed on its purchase of WJXQ FM 106.1 Charlotte, WJZL FM 92.9 Grand Ledge, WQTX FM 92.1 St. Johns, and WVIC FM 94.1 Jackson from Rubber City Radio.

 

• No notable activity for June 25, 28 - 30.

 

 

WDHS TV Ch. 8 Iron Mountain was granted its license to cover for its post-transition digital facilities.

 

• No notable activity for July 2 and 6.

 

 

• Digital LPTV station WHNE-LP Ch. 26 Flint was granted a construction permit to increase power from 1,600 watts @ 518 feet to 15,000 watts @ 518 feet. The station, currently silent, would remain directional.

 

• Northern Michigan University was granted a construction permit to move its FM translator of WNMU FM 90.1in Stephenson from FM 107.3 to FM 96.7 as W244CM. The translator has been silent on FM 107.3 for a number of months with the sign on of WUPF FM 107.3 licensed to nearby Powers.

 

• No notable activity for July 8 - 9 and 12.

 

 

• LPTV station WDWO-LP Ch. 18 Detroit was granted a construction permit to move to digital broadcasting on Ch. 18 (digital flash cut).

 

 

• The FCC has approved the sale of the construction permit for WZMI FM 91.9 Reed City to West Central Michigan Media Ministries by SAID News Foundation. Sale price was $7,000.

 

• No notable activity for July 15.

 

 

• The FM translator owned by Pensacola Christian College at FM 89.9 Benton Harbor (W210BB) was granted a construction permit to move to FM 90.3 as W212CL. The translator was forced of the air on 89.9 with the sign on of full-power station WAYO in the area.

 

• No notable activity for July 19.

 

 

WYCE FM 88.1 Wyoming granted its license to cover to increase power from 7,000 watts @ 167 feet to 10,000 watts @ 164 feet with a modified directional antenna.

 

 

• The construction permit for WSMZ FM Crystal Valley/Hart modified to change frequency from 89.1 to 88.3 and power from 400 watts @ 705 feet to 1,100 watts @ 656 feet. The permit is owned by Smile FM.

 

• The FCC approved the sale of FM translator W226BB 93.1 Ludington from Horizon Christian Fellowship to Synergy Media. Sale price was $6,000.

 

• No notable activity for July 22.

 

 

• The Grand Traverse Area Catholic Schools was granted a construction permit for a new non-commerical FM station station be licensed to Greilickville. The Class A station would operate with 2,400 watts @ 584 feet with a directional antenna in Leelanau County.

 

 

• The construction permit for WUPG FM 96.7 Republic was modified from 18,750 watts @ 381 feet to 23,100 watts @ 341 feet.
