WKAR-TVWKAR's popular "BackStage Pass" music television series kicks off its new season 10 p.m. tonight with nine acts bringing everything from blues to classical to tropic rock to jazz.

"The BackStage Pass" series grows each season, and we're pleased to present our most musically diverse line-up of broadcasts to date in 2011," said Tim Zeko, WKAR-TV and "BackStagePass" executive producer. "You can't beat Michigan-made music."

The season's first guest is Lansing jump-swing, blues-rock staple Those Delta Rhythm Kings. Expect favorites from the band's album, "Just the Way We Like It," plus past releases, "Howlin' for My Darlin," "Don't Get Around Much Anymore," and more. Others on tap for this season... WKAR-TV's 'BackStage Pass' kicks off new season tonight (Thu, 1/20)
