Grand Rapids Press:
Deb Hart and Kevin Matthews are learning to dance together, as Hart describes it. The 42-year-old Midland native with more than 20 years of radio broadcasting experience has joined "The Kevin Matthews Morning Show" weekdays on WLAV-FM (96.9). Hart has been co-hosting the 6-9:30 a.m. show with Matthews and Ed "Uncle Buck" Buchanan since mid-December.
"It's a dance, and everybody's figuring out their dance steps," Hart said. "When a new show comes together, everybody's getting to know one another -- sort of learning to use their cues. It's kind of like the jump-rope game where you have to jump in at just the right time."
Hart was co-host of "Michaels in the Morning" with Rich Michaels on Lansing's classic rock station WMMQ-FM (94.9). Both WMMQ and WLAV are Citadel Broadcasting-operated stations. "Michaels in the Morning" was supplanted with the now-syndicated "The Kevin Matthews Morning Show." Hart was retained and added to the show to provide local cut-ins for the Lansing market...
