Car-smoochin' to commence for Ann Arbor's W4 Country

WWWW-FMWWWW-FM 102.9 Ann Arbor, W4 Country, will be presenting a Kiss The Car! endurance contest starting Saturday, February 26th at 10 a.m. at LaFontaine Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram in Saline.

The station's most-enduring (or craziest) listeners will have to pucker up to win a new car from The LaFontaine Automotive Group by keeping two feet on the ground and two lips on the car to stay in the competition. Similar competitions have lasted nearly 72 hours.

W4 Country morning host Brian "Bubba" Cowan is excited for the contest to begin. "It's always fun to do a contest that is a little bit outside of the box," says Cowan. "It will be interesting to see who wins and how long this actually goes. It's all part of the fun of being in local radio."

The grand prize is a two year lease on a brand new car from The LaFontaine Automotive Group. Second prize is a 4 Day Western Caribbean Cruise from Miami for 2 including air-fare. Third place will receive a Lady's 18 karat gold diamond heart necklace from Lewis Jewelers.

The dealership is located at 900 West Michigan Avenue in Saline.

Bob Seger fans itching for some new material should make an appointment to tune into WCSX on Monday. At 7:30 a.m. during Ken Calvert's morning show, the classic rock station will premiere an unheard tune from Seger titled "Downtown Train." There's no word on when "Downtown Train" was recorded. Rod Stewart recorded a song with the same name, and legend has it that Seger actually wrote the tune but failed to copyright it. Or, it's possible that there's an entirely new song with just the same name... New Bob Seger song to premiere Monday morning on WCSX (Fri, 2/25)
