• Religious WKPR AM 1420 Kalamazoo has been granted a construction permit to move to AM 1440 and increase power from 1,000 to 2,700 watts during daytime hours and use 24 watts at night. The station would change from 2 towers to a single tower with the power increase and frequency change. The move to AM 1440 was part of an agreement announced in November between Kalamazoo Broadcasting and Langford Broadcasting, owner of WDOW AM 1440 Dowagiac. Kalamazoo is paying $80,000 to Langford to take WDOW off the air permanently.

• Baraga Broadcasting has closed on its $10,000 purchase of the construction permit for WTCY FM 88.3 Greilickville / Traverse City from the Grand Traverse Area Catholic Schools.

• No notable activity for February 3.
