CKWW to air "Bridge Over Troubled Water Radio Special"
The program will air this Wednesday at 7 p.m. on the 40th anniversary of the album's 1971 Grammy Awards sweep of Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year for Bridge Over Troubled Water and its title track. It will include first hand accounts by the people who made the album including brand-new interviews with Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel as well as producer Roy Halee. Listeners will get the stories behind the classic songs: "The Boxer," "Cecilia," the title track, and fan favorite album cuts like "Why Don't You Write Me" and "Baby Driver." All 11 album tracks are featured in the special.
The "Bridge Over Troubled Water Radio Special" will air this Wednesday, March 16th at 7 PM with an encore broadcast this Sunday, March 20th at 11 AM on AM 580 Motor City Favorites.

Bloomfield Hills School District radio broadcasting students won four first place awards, three second place awards and three third place awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Foundation (MABF) at their annual Great Lakes Broadcasting Conference held March 9, at the Lansing Center in Lansing. WBFH tied for the most cumulative points in all categories entered and was awarded the 2011 High School Station of the Year. This was the seventh time in the last nine years that WBFH has won the Station of the Year Award.
The MABF received 411 entries from 29 schools for their annual High School and College Broadcasting Awards competition. WBFH students won 10 of the 24 awards given out in the high school radio division... WBFH wins a host of awards (Sun, 3/13)
