WDIV claims February ratings victories for 5, 6, and 11 pm newscasts

Detroit NBC affiliate WDIV-TV Channel 4, owned by Post-Newsweek, is claiming ratings victories for it's afternoon and late evening newscasts during the February ratings period.

'Local 4 News at 5pm' had a 6.7 rating with a 14 share compared to WXYZ-TV's 6.4/13 and WJBK's 5.1/11 in household ratings. In the 6-6:30 p.m. time period, 'Local 4 News at 6 p.m.' scored an 8.3/16 with Channel 7 second at 6.6/13 and Channel 2 third with a 4.4/8.

'Local 4 News at 11 p.m.' finished well ahead of both Chs. 7 and 2 during that time period. WDIV's numbers were a 9.4 household rating and a 17 share, followed by WXYZ's 7.0/13 and WJBK's 4.2/8. WJBK's 10 p.m. newscast finished with 7.4/12
