WDVD's Project Prom Princess to help girls get dresses
Prom is one of the most memorable events in a young lady's life. Unfortunately, many high school students and their families are feeling the hurt of our tough economy. This should be no reason for girls to be denied the time-honored tradition of going to Prom. Pop WDVD-FM 96.3 is working with The Village of Rochester Hills to help less fortunate girls receive a free prom dress this spring.
For the 3rd consecutive year, 96.3 WDVD will be collecting gently worn formal dresses, shoes and accessories (less than 5 years old). This year's event will be held at The Village of Rochester Hills (on Village Main Street across from Festival Park) on Friday, April 15 - Sunday, April 17, 2011. 96.3 WDVD on-air personalities will broadcast from inside the Prom Princess Boutique all weekend long. The mission is to fill the store with racks of dresses, shoes and accessories to make hundreds of girls feel like a true Princess on Prom Night.
Visitors to Project Prom Princess will have the opportunity to win 1 of 50 free boutonniere and corsage sets, a prom makeover package for hair, nails and tanning or Katy Perry tickets.
Young ladies that are in need of a prom dress can log onto 963WDVD.com to fill out a request form. Selected girls will be asked to join us inside the Prom Princess Boutique to pick out a free dress for Prom.
