Michigan chapter of National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences hands out 2011 Emmy Awards

Nearly fifty Emmy Awards were handed out last week to broadcasters and publishers from across Michigan. A complete list of winners is available at http://www.natasmichigan.org/awards.html.

Ovid-Elsie's WOES FM knocked off air by lightning damage

WOES-FM 91.3, owned/operated by the Ovid-Elsie School District in Mid-Michigan, was knocked off the air last week by lightning that caused extensive damage to the station's broadcast equipment.

The station hopes to resume broadcasting as quickly as possible after repairs can be completed.
