WXYZ special to focus on education

Detroit ABC affiliate WXYZ-TV will broadcast "Class Acts" a Detroit 2020 Education Special on Tuesday, June 7th at 7 p.m. The 30 minute program, hosted by WXYZ anchors Stephen Clark and Carolyn Clifford, will feature stories of people and organizations that are making a difference in the lives of local students.

The show will include a look at a unique after-school program, and spotlight a high school with an innovative approach to education that could be the start of a new trend.

"This special will give Channel 7 viewers the opportunity to see how a simple act can make a difference in a child's future," said Glenn Bar, Detroit 2020 Executive Producer. "I hope these stories will inspire others."

Throughout the program, viewers will also discover new ways they can become involved in programs throughout Metro Detroit that support education.
