New radio program to focus on "Fighting for Justice"

Attorney Richard Bernstein, of The Sam Bernstein Law Firm, has announced that he will co-host a new radio show to share his personal experiences of fighting, and winning, for justice and interact with the audience to help them protect their rights. Bernstein will co-host the Fighting For Justice" program, with Pulitzer Prize winner Angelo Henderson, on Tuesdays from Noon to 1 p.m. on WCHB-AM 1200 starting September 13th, 2011.

The show will also stream live on www.wchbnewsdetroit.com.

Richard Bernstein has won many high-profile cases, representing clients who otherwise would not have a voice and the resources to fight injustice. He challenged the City of Detroit, and won, when wheelchair lifts on city buses were not maintained. He fought for disabled access to the University of Michigan football stadium, and won. He also led successful fights to retain special education programs in Michigan schools and maintain proper and safe street crossings for disabled pedestrians, among additional victories in personal injury cases.

A graduate of the University of Michigan and the Northwestern University Law School, Bernstein has been blind since birth. He has overcome his disability in significant ways, including working to successfully complete multiple marathons and triathlons. He has also taught courses in political science at the University of Michigan and held statewide office as the Chair of the Board of Governors at Wayne State University.

"With a three generation history of lawyers serving clients across Michigan, we understand that many people don't know who to turn to when they have questions about the law," said Bernstein. "Through this partnership with WCHB Radio, we offer a new way to connect with people who need help."

The Oakland Press:

The morning crew at WRIF-FM 101 radio had just finished interviewing a man about his wacky plan to fly around the world on Sept. 11, 2001 -- with Steve Miller's song, "Jet Airliner" providing background music -- when they spotted something on in-studio TVs. "We said, 'Oh my God, what is that,'" recalled Drew Lane, who works with Mike Clark and Trudi Daniels on the popular morning "Drew and Mike Show." Then the studio phones began lighting up.
