Longtime Detroit news anchor Mort Crim will be back on the air -- and up in the air -- this weekend on WDIV-TV (Channel 4). He's the star of "Flight Level Seven Four and Still Climbing," a one-hour special airing at 3 p.m. Sunday that documents the 7,400-mile solo trip Crim took across the United States in his two-seat light-sport aircraft.

WCBN, the student radio station at the University of Michigan, plans to participate in National College Radio Day on Tuesday with a special event on the U-M Diag. "This is the first year WCBN-FM will participate in National College Radio Day - an event to celebrate the contributions of college stations nationwide in broadening the airwaves of their respective college towns with music and reporting that is non-commercial, locally relevant, and produced by students and community members with a passion for non-mainstream culture."
