Kevin Matthews exits WLAV-FM 96.9 Grand Rapids mornings

Kevin Matthews' most recent go-round on Grand Rapids radio has ended - he'll no longer be hosting mornings on classic rock WLAV-FM 96.9. He returned to the Furniture City five years ago after a long career in Chicago radio - after moving there from Grand Rapids a number of years ago.

Market veterans Tony Gates and Michelle McKormick will take over morning drive at WLAV starting tomorrow.

WLAV owner Cumulus Media has been making numerous cuts at many stations across Michigan as part of the fall out of the company's merger with what was Citadel Broadcasting.
