Michigan Radio:

As part of the station's ongoing efforts to cover news across the state, Michigan Radio has established a new mid-Michigan news bureau. Based in Jackson, Reporter Steve Carmody will be covering stories in that city, as well as Lansing, Battle Creek and other mid-Michigan communities.

Toledo Blade:

A Toledo television station is on track to be sold for more than $22 million to a company that has ties to another local station. Paperwork filed with the Federal Communications Commission on Tuesday states WUPW-TV, Channel 36, is in the process of being bought by American Spirit Media. The head of that company, Thomas Henson, already operates at least three other TV stations with Raycom Media, which is the parent company of WTOL-TV, Channel 11.

Detroit Free Press:

Metro Detroit viewers who caught Fox's "Dish Nation" during its trial run last summer should be excited: The pop culture news-and-entertainment TV show featuring WDVD-FM (96.3)'s "Blaine and Allyson in the Morning" cohosts Blaine Fowler and Allyson Martinek will be back. Producers say that beginning in September, the show will air weeknights 52 weeks a year.
